I had lukimia aml & I told my doctor I can't come & he said gabapentin doesn't cause that & I should see a urologist.I try to mastubate & can't ejaculate.
I know my body & I really think it is from gabapentin .is there other dougs besides lyrica availible ? & what should I do as far as no ejactulation .ii is really stating to depress me .my gf gave me oral for a long while & I couldn't ejaculate.it was very embassing & depressing for myself. Help me ..

I take gabapentin and was on that same dose I had exactly the same problem with my girl friend I even tryed masterbation. My gp told me it wasn't gabapentin but i wasn't convinced so I took my self off it gradually and came the first day I was off it. My prob was so bad tho tht I couldn't pee either and ended up in hospital so your not alone

You can tell your doc he's wrong. Here is what the FDA says about it: Genitourinary
Genitourinary side effects including hematuria, dysuria, urination frequency, cystitis, urinary retention, urinary incontinence, vaginal hemorrhage, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, menorrhagia, breast cancer, inability to climax, and abnormal ejaculation have been reported infrequently. Kidney pain, leukorrhea, pruritus genital, renal stone, acute renal failure, anuria, glycosuria, nephrosis, nocturia, pyuria, urination urgency, vaginal pain, breast pain, and testicle pain have been reported rarely.

I think the docotr is an ass hole ,I've been telling him for over a month I have been having problems & twice he said see a urologist .I am convinced in his the gabapentin & I cut the dose to 300 instead of 600 .4 times a day ,but I fell kinda wierd * alittle sick to my stomach too.or maybe that was the big mack I ate ? // I'm frustrated & pissed off ,I feel like a punching bag .I told him I didn't wanna be on alot of drugs & he just doesn't listen !!

You shouldn't cut it, especially so fast. You're having withdrawal. I think I'd make an appt with a urologist just to be sure nothing is wrong, so you can go back to him and tell him he's wrong. Don't cut it without a dr helping you.

Hello dctyme & welcome to the site. You are at the top of dosing for gabepentin at 3600 mg a day. I have to ask why or what this has to do with your treatment of leukemia. I couldn't find any referenced to using this drug. It is a seizure drug used off label for other conditions like neruopathy. The side effects that are listed (I am giving you a link to read below), do not list your exact problem, but does list many others that I believe could cause your problem. Tiredness, confusion, etc... Are you taking any other medications along with the gabepentin? Hopefully others will be along to give you a definate answer on this, but I do believe reading the possible side effects that this is your problem concerning ejaculation. Wishing you the best...

I have severe periphal neuropathy from all the high doses of chemo I indored.
should I stop the gabapentin .I lowed the dose to 300 4 times aday to see if I get my mojo back ... but my feet do burn at times .

You shouldn't lower the dose too fast because of the risk of seizure. Be careful doing this without the doctors help. You may have a trade off situation going on here. You may get your ejaculation back by stopping the gabepentin, but then you will have the neuropathy to deal with. I would have to say the choice is yours.
