It has been stored in as recommended. I just hate to throw away something that might still be good even though it is outdated.

im not sure exactly the answer to this but when i worked in a pharmacy pills usualy only lose their effectiveness after the exp. date. so i would assume creams would do this too.
Some medications can become downright dangerous after the expiration date. However some medications can last many years after their exp date. Maybe you should look up that particular medication and find out.
isnt this the stuff that if you use too much you can turn blue?
