Does lotemax have steroid in it? If so is it enough to cause cataract?

The active ingredient in Lotemax is a steroid called Loteprednol.
The risks associated with steroid use and the development of cataracts is well established.
Steroid eye drops such as Lotemax are less likely to cause cataracts compared with more traditional steroids such as Pred Forte.
Talk with your doctor if you are concerned.
