with starting up the med again after being off some time, and the sleep issues that arise, wondering if i need to get up earlier and take it earlier. for me, i'm thinking it's lasting close to 16 hrs. does anyone know how long it works on a daily basis???
Does any1 know how many hrs phentermine 37.5mg is effective over the course of the day? 12 hrs/16hrs

i have been on 37.5 milligrams for a month now. One pill is in your system for 12 hours.

i'm not new to phentermine, have been off and on it for the last 2 yrs to lose wt, and had first tried it for a short time back in 2001. i just had always wondered about the daily duration of it.
hope you're having success on it. i had great success back in 2001. the wt slowly crept back on through the yrs. then 2 yrs ago i tried everything to lose wt, no success with diet, or, a very hard exercise regimine. had to get back on the phentermine. lost 42 lbs in 6 mos with it's aide.
however, i allowed myself the permission to cheat over the holidays this yr for the first time in yrs, and, well it took it's toll! i'm thought to be pre-diabetic and my body loves to hang on to carbs! lol i put a lot of wt on with a little bit of cheating. literally, about 2 doz cookies over 2 wks and i gained 16 lbs! so, i had to turn back to phentermine for some help.
now i need to look into the fact that i may have PCOS, which could be the reason for the insulin and adult acne issues i have. it's a condition often overlooked in women. the symptoms can be explained away and mistreated... depression, adult acne, easy wt gain, are the big ones for PCOS.

I had (have) health issues. DDD, COPD & others. I am 5'7 on a quick shrink! I was 220 plus. My amazing Dr. prescribed this for me. I didn't lose all in a couple months but it helped me push the plate away, not needing to eat it all, just what I needed. Great appetite control. Seemed to give me a bit if extra energy I needed to stay busy or active. Soon I transformed into a shrinking smaller person, fluctuating from 155-165. Feeling pretty dang good. I went to another Dr. for sleep issues. Was given a sedative huge weight gainer. Within 2 weeks 20 plus #'s have been added. Put phentermine back on board for a short period as it has a very long peek life & should help the need to snack. I didn't work that hard to return to where I began. Its inexpensive out of pocket & works amazing. Make good habits & the weight stays off. Watch other meds added though, weight gainers will get you. Does anyone have a question? I have 4 years experience with phentermine.
