On January 4th I got a prescription of Adderall XR 10 mg, it only lasted an hour, so my doctor gave me a prescription of 20 mg twice a day of regular Adderall. The problem is it is the 25th. Can I get a new script before 30 days of my original script running out?
Can a doctor write two scripts in a month? Adderall XR(30 pills,Jan,4th) to Adderall IR (60p,Jan27)?

If the doctor deems it as medically necessary and if the doctor's prescribing habits haven't been flagged by the govt
Yes insurance will cover it bc it isnt the same script. U wouldnt be able to fill same script before 30 days. I was on adderall 10mg ir day for two and half wks and it wasnt working at all, he switched to 20mg ir bc I was completely lethargic still, went in for early appt and had no problem getting it filled.
Since it is a change in dosage, you can get it filled before the 30 days. But if you get a pharmacist that is really uptight, they may hold up the process a day or two to get in touch with your doctor (rare cases). Or the “non-pharmacist” personnel who takes it at the drop-off may say that it’s too early - but that’s usually because they’re assuming it’s the same as your previous prescription, so you just have to alert them to the dosage change. The former is less likely to happen and the latter an easy fix.
Did you say you had XR entire prescription you took in an hour?
Yes technically you can and put it on file at your pharmacy but it is questionable if you can get it early it depends on your provinces; states laws about controlled substances.
I would be interested in the forums input.
