I am currently taking Subutex, I want to switch to Suboxone. Does anyone know if you have to wait a couple days after your last Subutex dose before you start taking the Suboxone? Or can I just go from the Subutex straight to taking the Suboxone?
Do you have to wait between when switching from Subutex to Suboxone?

Yea, you can just switch. But I would also like to know why? I hope you realize that Suboxone feels different from Subutex?
Are you taking the generic, white round Subutex tab? And are you having a bad reaction to it, is that the issue? I would like to know.
I am taking the generic subtext. Are they different from the name brand?? I'm not permanently switching to suboxone it was only a temporary thing for a couple days. But I was wondering why you asked if I'm taking genetics. Do they make you feel different than the real ones?? To me they dont seem to last as long but I thought maybe I was just building a tolerance to them.
First of all i would never take the generic sub pill, ive heard to much about it,so for me i stay on the 8mg strips, they work for me
Hey BeachBaby,
I think you are fine to switch without waiting a couple of days, but my question is why would you want to? The Subutex has a generic which is cheaper and contains the same active ingredient as the Suboxone. The Suboxone contains the added ingredient Naloxone so to prevent adddicts form injecting the medicine. Just curious.
Best wishes,
Laurie
