Adderall is amphetamine and dextroamphetamine And Ritalin is Methylphenidate Just two different medications in the same family called CNS central nervous system stimulate But the way they break down and work enough different so one person may do better on one than the other.common used for ADD AND ADHD IN children and adults it's just what the doctor thinks may work the best on a person.
