It slows down your intestines, so it will cause bloating. What are you taking it for?

Ironically, I was prescribed it for bloating. and constipation. two aprns have diagnosed me with ibs because I've complained of heavy bloating that has lasted for months. (I look six months pregnant.) Constipation has also been a major symptom, with rolling stomach cramps. it is not associated with food-- the bloating never goes away. sometimes it gets worse than others though, randomly.
