im dealing with the same thing. I hate ginger but trader joes ginger mints are good. also avacado with some lemon juice helps.
Sorry that I am so late in answering..I am late at everything it seems these days. Something to do with the pain.. Anyhow GINGER tea, GINGER candy, Dried GINGER... get it!! That is the BEST homeopathy remedy that I know about and have used often. Swansonvitamins.com sells organic ginger tea for something like 2.69. I get all my supplements there, you can even get ginger capsules if you like! I sign up for all their specials, right now 10% off all Swanson brand (which is a great brand), and free shipping. Type in 10percent in the code. Then sign up for their newsletters and specials. This guy does fascinating research.
Finally odansetron, hopefully I spelled that correctly, is my miracle med. The doctor prescribes it ODT, which somehow means you dissolve it under your tongue. It is quick and it works!! He gives me 8mg/day to take, which you break easily in half, and you can take up to four/day. It truly is the greatest miracle of all, after narcs. I can't live without it, as I had stomach surgery and ever since I was barfing several times a day. I understand why you hate being barfy/pukey/hurlish completely. Sometimes it would take HOURS to just get it out with my face in the porcelain throne. This stuff does the trick. Love ya!
Hi..
Nonpharmacologic interventions:
1.Avoidance of triggers:quickly changing position,Supplements containing iron should be avoided until symptoms resolve, as iron causes gastric irritation
2.Dietary changes:frequent high carbohydrate, low fat, small meals
3.Ginger: powdered ginger (1 to 1.5 grams in divided doses over 24 hours) is equivalent to vitamin B6..you can use of ginger containing foods
4.Hypnosis
Pharmacologic treatment
1.Pyridoxine:vitamin B6 (10 to 25 mg orally three or four times per day) improves mild to moderate nausea, but does not significantly reduce vomiting.
2.Other antiemetics:promethazine (12.5 to 25 mg every four hours orally, intramuscularly, or per rectum) for the initial choice of antiemetic in who do not respond to pyridoxine..metoclopramide (5 to 10 mg every eight hours intravenously or orally), ondansetron (8 mg every 12 hours intramuscularly or orally..
good luck.
I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I agree that it might be your pain meds. One nausea med nobody has mentioned is Kytril. It is very expensive ($150 per dose) but lasts a long time. They give it alot in conjunction with Chemo to combat the nausea. If you have good insurance, maybe that is an option. Every time I take my pain meds, I have to take a Phenergan and a Flexeril. The pain meds make me very nauseated and cause spasms of the Sphincter of Odi, which is painful. Needless to say, I only take meds in a dire situation. I also drink Ginger Ale, which helps. Hope you feel better
Hello sweet lemon! You are so sweet! I really understand about nausea. I have gastritis and when it flares up I really get nauseated. I usually take Phenergan. It is a prescription. It has always helped me. I have also taken Donnatal. It makes your stomach "go to sleep." I was told that Ginger also helps with nausea if you want to try somethin g Homeopathic. I reall hope you find the right remedy! Take care! Sweetie Pie
Thanks sweetie pie! I shall ask about Donatal.

Sweetie... have your docs done any test to determine the cause or origin of your nausea?? There HAS to be SOMETHING causing you to feel this way. I truly hope that you are better soon...
Hi pup,

Sweets... hope you are feeling better. Don't procrastinate too long... those stones can cause a blockage and you could have a whole new set of problems... so just do it honey!! Wish I could help more. Am at a beach house with a friend in Destin... brrrr... but nice nonetheless... have a good rest of the weekend...

Hello Sweetie Lara Lemon Pie,
I want to give you an award gurl. You have just won the prestigious Hammer award for the most answers to a single question, in a new and original show, urr I mean topic. I got a little carried away there. I have never seen so many answers to 1 question. Do you feel the love. We all luv ya babes.
I was also going to suggest Zofran, but I see it was already suggested and also other ppl 2nd and 3rded it. I never took it, but seeing as how it is also supposed to help wds, it may be good.
I also agree that feeling barfy is dire indeed. We must do something about this. We will do something about this. By Odin's beard, we shall vanquish thy barfiness. So Be It !
Thor
Hi Lara - I'm sorry... but you are so funny, even when you're feeling barfy/pukey! Hurl, a word we used in college & it took me way back! Anyway, I had a gastric bezoar about 10 years ago, along with duodenal ulcer, and I'd throw up every morn around 4 am, projectile type! Nasty, it was. Anyway, I dissolve 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of good ol' baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) in about 2 ounces warm water (Arm & Hammer brand, if ya have it). Drink it down, and my nausea is gone almost instantly. It stinks to have that nagging nausea. I can't get much done when I have that, so it really does impact our life, I think. Good Luck, and Bless Dia duit. xo Jillian
Taim go maith inniu sweet lemon (lemon milis, an bhuil se sin ceart?) lol, ach rinne me an abhair in Eireann fado fado, agus ta focail beag fagtha agam... ach taim in NYC anois!!!
Seriously, I think that anything which is light and bland on the stomach... like chicken soup/broth or oatmeal is probably the best remedy. Plus absolutely ginger ale is supposed to be the best thing to drink as well. Hope that you are feeling better soon...
Who has the b@lls to give slattery/Kathleen a TD? Unbelievable!!
I dare ye, answer if you've the ovaries to do so? I doubt it though!!
Cowards usually keep in the shadows!!
Sweet lemon this is what I do when I can't hold anything down. Take about 4oz of gatorade put 2 regular alkaselsers in let them disolve. Chug it{drink it all fast} you'll think its gonna come back up then an hr later eat a heavy sanwhich burger or something. It works for the flu hang overs. Otherwise just drink as much gatorade as possible through out the day till the voomitting stops it is like having an iv stops the dehydration. Hope you geel better soon. Take care
