I have bullous pemphigoid and have to apply topical steroid ointment daily. The one I am supposed to use is dermovate (Clobetasol proppionate) which pharmacists are finding increasingly difficult to obtain. I have just noticed that I have been supplied with eumovate ointment (clobetasone butyrate). Does anyone know the difference?
Dermovate versus eumovate?

I have been applying this ointment for two months now. I started to itch more at night when I applied it to the blisters. So now I am just putting CeraVe cream on at night. It stops the itching, but every morning at 2 A.M. I still am awaken itching like crazy. My blisters get so big they burst, turn into sores anyway. And now they are mainly attacking my face. So I can't put Clobetasol on the face as directed by my doctor. I was able to get the prescription right away. I just wish I can get my life back to normal. This disease is truly, truly different. And I hate all of these steroids.
