Cipro use would probably be for bv which is not an std. The viruses like hpv would not be helped by it. Chlamydia is helped by azithromycin, syphillis is penicillin, gonorrhea is cephalosporins.
When an STD is caused by a virus, ciprofloxacin is not effective. This antibiotic deals with bacterial related infections, it will not treat Human papillomavirus (HPV).
I suggest you visit your Dr. in order to get the right medication prescribed to you.
