I was just prescribed Cipro today. I'm not sure whether I'm going to ask for something different or not considering I have muscle/tendon issues in my hips. Anyway, my information sheet says to take it 2 hours before eating or 6 hours after eating. The pharmacist said to avoid all dairy, calcium containing foods/products, multivitamins, minerals like iron or zinc, tizanidine (a muscle relaxant), which is a major interaction, thyroid and steroid medications, or antacids while taking Cipro. Hope this helps.
