The bottle says it's ok to give a 6-12 year old 15 mL every four hours. I only want to give half of that so she can get sleep tonight but I'm worried. My child will be 6 in one month and weights 41 lbs.

These meds have a lot to do with weight and reason for the med. call the pharmacy. They may have something better to use. And they will tell you the proper dose. When in doubt they are a wonderful resource.
