Yes, the chemicals could very well have irritated the vaginal tissues. There is also a great deal of bacteria in a spa in spite of the chemicals so it is possible to have a vaginal infection or yeast infection too. Unfortunately, many women find out the hard way that spas, pools, the ocean and rivers are not good places to have intercourse. It looks romantic on TV and in books but in reallife, the water gets forced into the vagina during intercourse and can cause all kinds of problems for women. Water also removes the natural lubricants and that can cause trauma from friction to the vaginal tissues. Best thing to do is to see your OB-GYN to see if any infection is present and see what treatment the doc offers. Having intercourse in these places can also contribute to bladder infections for the same reasons.
never had expirence something like this befor its horrible!!! I made an appointment to see my Dr. Thank you
Yes the chemicals and the heat from the hot tub can cause irritations. See your gyn for proper treatment. It may clear up on its own, but if it is not much better in a few days, see your gyn. Believe me, you will not be the first patient to see the gyn for that type of issue. Patti
