Alcohol in moderation is fine. While doctors say you should not drink alcohol while taking an antibiotic such as cefuroxime, there are no drug interactions and there is no risk to your health. The theory is that if you are requiring antibiotic treatment then you should not be drinking alcohol until you are feeling better.
