Can Lunesta tablets be cut in half if the full dosage seems too strong or is not needed?

Actually, the manufacturer DOES warn NOT to break, crush, or chew the tablets. If you need a smaller dose, then you need to get your prescriber to write you a prescription for one. Hope this helps.
It does not say so that the tablet cannot be broken, since its a sleep disorder tab, would recommend that you speak to your doc who prescribed the med, Lunesta is a coated pill, maybe breaking it into half would either release less or more of the med, however please check with the doc/pharmacist, hope this helps?
