Yes you can. I am taking Wellbutrin, Methilyn (Ritalin), and Subutex all at the same time currently all for depression as well as some energy/motivation issues. But yeah, my psychiatrist has me on wellbutrin and ritalin (which is pretty similiar if not the same as adderall i believe) so i know they can be used together.
As far as the effectiveness, I havent been on the combo for even a month yet so I do not have an honest answer as to how effective it is.
See I knew u culd,my dr 2day told me u cant be on aderralls n wellbuterin at the same time. He jus doesnt wanna perscribe em 2 me cuz im on suboxone n he said theyre stimulants n addictive... cmon iv been clean for almost 2 yrs..but im so exhausted n no matta how long I sleep im still tired!! Im hoping wellbuterin gives me sum sort of energy...
I was prescribed Adderall about 3 months ago and I am on my 6th day of Wellbuterin. I've started taking Adderall for my ADHD because it was hard for me to concentrate on my studies and my job. I was put on Wellbuterin because I wanted to try and stop smoking, and to relieve any anxieties or depression that I sometimes have. The Adderall is working very well and I have yet to feel the effects of the Wellbuterin (it's still too early). I did some research and Wellbuterin actually helps with ADHD. My thoughts are (and I could be completely wrong as I do not know the full details of the situation) that you are on suboxone right now, which is used for withdrawal therapy of opiates. It may not be that the medicines won't work, but Adderall being the same as any opiates or morphine, is a Schedule II drug and is also addictive. Also, I've never heard of any doctor prescribing Adderall for drowsiness.
You have been clean for 2 years, which is very good, keep up the hard work. Keep in mind though; being clean doesn't relieve you of addictions, just the drug. Adderall may be too tempting to abuse and could lead you into another addiction. You Doctor probably realizes this and is probably just looking out for your wellbeing. You have a good doctor, not a pill pusher. If I'm wrong or out of place though, call me out on it. I'm trying to be helpful, not critical.
