Can I break a Soma and only take one half at night instead of the whole pill?

I have just started taking the generic brand 350 mg. And, I myself was wondering about splitting it. Has anyone else here also experience well, I fell asleep last night having taken one. And, I awoken 3 separate times with my heart rate up and almost twitching. It didn’t last long but, it just about set off my anxieties

Yes, I break my Soma in half--no problem at all. This has been a wonder drug for me--with NONE of the scary side effects that many here talk about.
Everyone is different, and if it works for you, then you should take it--as long as you do not have an 'addictive personality' AND you have checked it against any other meds you are taking for possible interactions.

Glad that one is too much for you, as I use to take two at a time (250mg pills) for years. Yes, you may split them, as the others have already stated.
I believe you're lucky to get them these days. They sure work better for me than Flexoril.

I got a fall into February and hurt prior to that in January when I see about using a pill splitter I don't see anything that says this will cause a problem but I do know when I got hurt my Doctor says she does not prescribe Soma, I do know it has been around for a long time but apparently it can cause the following drowsiness, dizziness, tremor, agitation, irritability, headache, insomnia, tachycardia, facial flushing, epigastric distress, hiccups, asthmatic episodes, of course all medications have side effects. best wishes,

Yes, you can break a Soma tablet in half. I also do this on the odd night that I need some. It will still be effective if you are small.

soma is a very scary addictive drug, plud sedative and mood altering. I actually got a dui while driving on soma,no alcohol. So the less of this drug tthe better, try valium instead. Good luck
