Cabergoline - How long will it take to bring prolactin level from 150 to normal?

Thanks for sharing your experience. I do not have breast discharge, no irregular periods. I was trying to conceive for last two years and got checked my blood. They found prolactin at 150 and sent me for mri. The results showed and 5mm cyst on pituitory gland. Im taking half tablet of 0.5 mg once in a week from last month. And suddenly my periods came late by 17 days which never happened to me. Wondering if this tablet has any side effects. Also heard that this tablet is harmful to take when pregnant. Not sure how true it is.. Worried about lot of questions..have to contact doctor in Feb to clear all.

Hi Srrelatha, yes my cyst was very close to yours mine was 4x5x6mm which they told me very small and not to worry, i do .5 mg twice a week, but i am on the pill. I have had no side effects at all and with double your dose, i do eat alot before taking it and i also workout 8 hra a week, it doesn't even get me tired eventhough at the begining it did. I've read a lot of women taking this pill and getting pregnant in a couple of months. I have read that uts ok while pregnant but not to be nursing while on this. I also have to go in february. You know it took me a yr to get pregnant with my son, i wonder if this cyst and high prolactine was going on while trying. Good that you have it under control. Try not to stress, wish you the best!
