Buspirone - I couldn't sleep after my 1st dose of Busbar 10mg. can I just take 1 dose in am&skip?

I take buspar 10 mg 2x day for anxiety. It has to build up in your system, so may take a week or two to start working. For some people it does nothing. It takes the edge off my anxiety. I cannot take it at night it keeps me awake. I take my 2nd dose early in the afternoon so it does not affect my sleep. Hope this helps. Wishing you the Best.

You won't be getting enough milligrams per day if you only take once a day and you can't double the morning dose either. The inability to sleep may get better as you get use to this medication. Be sure to always take the same way, always with food or always without food, but never alternate between the two ways. If you were taking the morning dose with food and the evening dose without, it may explain at least in part why it kept you awake.
