Hi Allison: I took 150 mg Bupropion Sr successfully for years to relieve my anxiety. Whenever I went to 150mg twice a day of Bupropion Sr, I would get increased anxiety, it would affect my sleep patterns, cause me constipation and other problems. At 150 mgs, I was calm, focused, motivated, and could function so much better, for years, actually, at this dose.
Thanks for your comment. Going up to the 300 does help with my mood but it makes me too wound up. After a weeks trial I decided to go back to 150. I dont mind the extra energy I just wish there was something in between 150 and 300. It’s such a drastic jump! :/
There is something in between it’s 75mg of Wellbutrin. I take 150mg xl plus 75mg.
Hi Allison: I did well on 150mg Bupropion SR once a day. Whenever I went to 150mg twice a day (300mg), I had problems with constipation, irritability, increased anxiety, stomach upset, and other problems. I could function much better at 150 mg a day of bupropion sr, for years, as a matter of fact. It kept me calm, focused, gave me motivation, and kept me from depression at that dose.
I took 150 mg for 2 yrs. they upped it to 300 mg. Didn’t really tell the difference. I had to go to a different dr. He told me I had been over medicated for years. He cut me back to 150 mg getting off that one pill was terrible. The withdrawals were horrific ! He should have weened me off it ! Just be careful !

Realizing I needed more than 150 mg and less than 300 mg. Some were in between; back to dr. It’s not common but some people need an extra 75 mg added to the 150 mg. Ruling out the 300 mg all together. That’s where I’m at now. Seems to be working fine for now. Hope this infoe helps.
So did they add 75 of SR on top of your 150 XL?
It doesn’t say anything on the Rx bottle, neither sr or xl. Only the manufacturers name is apo.
It doesn’t say anything on the rx bottle. So I don’t know what it is. It just says 75mg. Maybe you could ask your dr. ?
Gotcha. It's just the plain ole Bupropion then. Thanks!
