Yes, I wouldn't apply the biofreeze to your inner hip without underwear to protect your scrotum. By the way, there's a OTC product available called Mineral Ice that's much like Biofreeze. If it works as well for you, you'd find it to be much cheaper and available at most drugstores or a store such as Wal-Mart.
