I have been using it for several years and although it doesn't completely eliminate tremor it makes it almost unnoticeable. As an artist it is MUCH appreciated. As mentioned before it will take some time for your body to respond. But stopping the use of it exposes just how much it helps. It is worth the investment.
Hi Hootch,
I used Premidone for 6 years but I had intermittent headaches from it. Finally I decided to look into other alternatives and found Tremadone. So far so good. I used to have bad tremors of the hands and head. I used Tremadone and it started to improve but it did take about 2 months before it made a real difference. Now I can go out to appointments without feeling conscious. I'm not sure if it helps for everyone but it's been good for me. Good luck.
Did you get any symptoms after starting Tremadone, i.e., tiredness from all the relaxing herbs?
I have been on propranalol for 25 years and I too have gotten worse. I can't write or eat soup or even use a fork very well. I guess I'm looking for someone to tell me tremadone is not another snake oil. I would give anything to be able to write or use a screwdriver or put a key in a lock.
Has anyone looked into or tried something like the Carrick Brain Center? Sounds interesting, but want to find folks that have actually gone and been helped.
I decided to give it a try and have been taking Tremadone for about 3 months now and do not see any improvement. So I am discontinuing it and will seek other alternatives.
Hand tremors are extremely frustrating . I'm 61 and the tremors, inherited from my mother, started couple years ago. I am also having memory loss. The daily routing events don't stick to my mind. I did a cat scan and no Alzheimer's was detect, even though my mother died with it at age of 86. I am using drugs prescribed by my neurologist (4 different drugs/ 6pills/day) . Sometimes the tremors are zero but sometimes they come back. Tough to accept it. The memory loss is also ruining my life.
