How much Benadryl should I take for allergic reaction?

I would suggest taking 25 mg at first and check the effects after a few hours. Is the allergic reaction better? How drowsy are you? The lowest effective dose of any med is always the best. The package says you can take up to six tablets (25 mg. each) in 24 hours, but you want to know all the effects before upping the dose. I'm so susceptible to the drowsiness side effect, I have to take it at bedtime because I WILL fall asleep from just 25 mg.
