22 days on Zoloft for depression and anxiety.
I am on 150 mg now and not one thing has changed yet.
I read 4 to 6 weeks but some improvement and be seen in a couple weeks.
I guess i am not a lucky one.
Losing faith its gonna work.
Is 4 to 6 weeks the normal for most on here?.
I am so beat down right now and praying it works.
Average time for Zoloft to work?

Hi, clipper!
The 4-6 week figure is a little off in my book. The National Alliance on Mental Illness states that for the average person it can take 6-8 weeks and sometimes longer to feel the full effects of the medication. You may find some improvement in your depressive symptoms sooner than a response from anxiety.
Everyone is different and some may see improvements before others do. As much as we'd like this type of drug to work faster it just takes time so at 3 weeks I wouldn't be too discouraged yet. Try to stay positive and don't dwell on your negative thoughts... try to stay distracted by doing things you enjoy. Take walks, read a novel, watch favorite movies. Meditation and yoga can also be very helpful.
Best regards and I think you'll start feeling better soon now.
It took me around 2 months to see the results, I guess it depends on every person’s condition and triggers. There is no fixed rule as for how fast will the medication work..
My friends started Zoloft and felt much better within two weeks.
