Are Xanax and Zanaflex the same medication?

Just so you understand completely... this is a controlled substance. It is not a narcotic. A controlled substance is ANYTHING that you need a prescription to get. You can be arrested if you have ANY controlled substance that is not in a prescription bottle with YOUR name on it. Even if it is an antibiotic or blood pressure medicine.
Oh yes I do.My sister thought that they were the same.But you are correct in stating the law enforcement codes,I could have been some kid with no business knowing the difference or even asking the question.
Zanaflex is a muscle relaxer just like flexeril, soma, baclofen, and zanax is a beno (nerve pill) just like valuim, klonopin, ativan, they are two totally different drugs and muscle relaxers are not controlled substances where nerve pills are a schedule iv controlled substance. Hope this helps.

No, but you mean Xanax, which is a benzodiazepine, Zanaflex (Tizanidine) is a muscle relaxant.
