I would like to know if anyone had any weight gain on trazodone or even better weight loss?

I am taking trazodone for depression and anxiety. Just went in today and spoke to the doctor and he said I have lost 11pds in a month from the last time I spoke with him. He did upper my dose from 100 to 200mgs and I feel amazing.

I do have weight gain and water retention from trazodone .

I have been taking trazodone 200mg at night for over 8 years and it has never made me lose weight or gain weight.

I have been on Trazodone for about 8 months. I have gained weight and I find it very hard to loose weight on it. I took myself off it for 2 weeks and I lost 4 pounds. For me that is a lot because I am a thin and petite woman. I never had problems loosing weight. Since I have been on trazodone it has slowed my metabolism and I find it very hard to even loose 1 pound. Yes, trazodone is good for sleep. It does work.

Trazodone is great for sleeping, but is hardly good for depression. It is a very old anti-depressant. Get started on another anti-depressant in addition to the Trazodone. I take Trazodone and Pristiq (or Effexor). No problems with taking both. But I do take the Trazodone right before I go to bed, otherwise my sweet tooth and potato chip tooth rear their heads. That's just me which you didn't see anyone else mention. I take the very peak dose of Trazodone because it takes away most of my fibromyalgia pain. As long as I take it right before bed, then I sleep through this effect.

I have been on TRAZ for about 4yrs. weight gain? i didnt really notice any... weight loss OH HOW I WISH!!! im on 4 tablets at bedtime. i take it so i can sleep...

I have been taking 100mg Of trazodone every night, for insomnia, for years. I've never gained weight specifically from the trazodone.
I know trazodone is also prescribed for mental health reasons, and being that it can knock you out, I would imagine the lack of inactivity would cause weight gain.
