I was switched from Lunesta to Ambien bcs I'ms I had except it didn't work too well. This time it has seemed to work better BUT I think I am holding water possibly bcs I have gained abt 8 lbs n a few weeks. I feel like I am swelling around my lungs & the weight is making it hard to breathe. It could b any of the new meds so I'm wondering if anyone else has had swelling w/ it?

jellybeanwilliama, welcome to the site. If you feel your swelling around your chest area, causing you trouble to breathe, you need to see a doctor ASAP, a this could be an allergic reation to this drug. Please read the link below in blue. Also, best wishes to you...
Thanks Mary. I have had water retention for years & when on several mess its hard to say which one it is. It seems w/ this one it needs to build up in my system a while b4 it becomes a problem. This happened once b4 where I litterally swelled at least 20 pounds n less than 2 days & yesterday when I felt like I couldn't breathe at 1st I thought it was the cold I have & my asthma but then I realized the last time this happened was when I tried Ambient for a few weeks. When this happened b4 I went to my primary & another Dr & one literally told me I was "getting fat" they didn't believe that my weight went up that much or that I had 2 borrow clothes just 2 go 2 the Dr. I didn't take it last night & the swelling n my legs & chest has already gone down some & I can breathe easier. Ive gone down n weight over 4 lbs over night. I'm not taking it again! Its just not obvious w/ this med Jcs it has to build up n me b4 I have a problem.
