I have been taking generic Adderall IR 20mg for about 3 years. During that time,
I have used Barr/Teva, Corepharma, and Sandoz.
This month, June 2014, I received a generic brand I had never taken.
The manufacturer is: Mallinckrodt
I know may people will say "this is all in my mind" but I can tell you,
this generic brand is profoundly horrible... no efficacy, potency.
Has anyone experienced the same?

All generics have to be within an 80% range but the thing is that there's binders and fillers and those are actual compounds and are not regulated so it can make you feel different and change how the other medication works. And there used to be a drought before with these pink pie looking medications that definitely had weird side effects. I do have one thing to say tho. I've had ADHD/add for 30 years have stop taking my meds on and off cause it makes me feel like a zombie. But with all telehealth crap and ADHD becoming a trans diagnosis. It's sad to see people talking about not feeling anything. Your not suppose to feel the same as non ADHD/add. Like me I can focus and organize but not become talkative and run around doing crap. That's how I am normally. All I'm saying is double check your diagnosis guys. And don't take it cause it gives you energy. Unless your doctor prescribes it for that like they do elderly. I also have mild narcolepsy.
But I still sleep like a baby. Your only going to make things harder for the rest of us. Anyways. Yes their is compounds that can cause side effects that are regulated different with each company. Just be vocal about your situation to your pharmacy.
This company has the worst record of manufacturing medications. I have informed Walgreens to not fill my prescription from this brand. The medications produced are "snake oil", inefficient products only hurt the public. FDA should investigate why these products are so inefficient.
It’s not all in your head. The MALLINCKRODT preparation doesn’t work at all. I’ve been taking it for ten days, and have felt absolutely no effect. I’ve taken all of the others, which were efficacious, but I feel this brand is doing something shady.
My pharmacist said every brand is tested, but they can’t test every single pill.
Yes I’m fighting my insurance because they make me go Costco pharmacy because I’m employee but Malilinkraft is horrible crumbles in little pieces if break in half and no real effects barely Teva Walgreens awesome but this month don’t have it at Costco it’s special order my Doctor writes specifically Teva adderall 20 ir but run out tomorrow and either Costco or have wait really sad someone need tell that company they need change or give up making this medicine
I have been taking Adderall for the last 15 years. Sometimes I would get TEVA and other times Sandoz.
For the last 3 months I have been taking Mallingckrod and I feel one like I am not taking anything! Not effect whatsoever! I went to see my doctor and he told me that amongst generic brands, not each of them has the same amount of active substances, and the variation is hugh! He told me TEVA is the best and that you can tell the pharmacist no to give you certain brand.
That mallinckrodt is making me sleepier and the only things I have gained since starting are, head aches and weight
Mallinckrodt is absolute GARBAGE. Scatterbrain, nervousness, moodiness and headaches. Do they think we are stupid??? I want to report this to the FDA. Can we get a CLASS ACTION SUIT started? Please let me know.
Mallinckrodt is HORRIBLE. Did nothing except gave me HEADACHES! I've noticed past 20 years that ALL of the Co's that produce generics keep changing the formulas (adding in more crap (fillers) that cost them less $$, thinking we wont know the difference)...

I may as well be drinking water – I’ve needed to seek out other manufactures generic adderall at local pharmacies and buy it cash until my insurance will kick in again later this month Because the bottle of the Mallonkrodt product is garbage. This is a total rip off and abuse of hard-working consumers of the pharmaceutical industry
Yes, it happened to me just a few days ago. The pharmacy didn't even tell me that it was an entirely different looking pill either. I've been having bad headaches all weekend long since taking this brand, I've been moody too. Call the pharmacy and the owner has contacted the manufactory and fda to report my side effects, and I've called my dr. They're trying to work it out where I can go to my dr and give her what pills I have left, I only took 5, and give me a new script, and the manufacturer is going to reimburse the pharmacy so I won't have to pay for this new script bcuz my insurance sure isn't going to pay for a 2nd one. So hopefully they can work it out!

I just got mine for the first time maybe like 7 missing I had to take more bc I literally FELT ZERO relief of my adhd symptoms and I rely on my prescriptions monthly to properly function at work school etc ! At this rate I’ll have none left with 2/3 of the month remaining AND TAKING MORE DOESNT EVEN HELP! Please tell me if this method worked ! I don’t wanna just tough it out and suffer all month !

I am currently going through this too. This is not in my head! I've taken generic adderrall for years like your various ones, i was given 20 mg Mallinckrodt and thought they looked funny when I got home I googled. Found this and it explains why I feel horrible. Something is very wrong and I'm extremely worried.
EXACTLY! Just posted similar comment on other comment page, here, somewhere... Walmart gave me this generic, usually get Barr/Teva from Sams. (they were out). One pill later... nothing, nada, rien! One pill & the difference is already obvious! Will call Sams & see if they've changed. Who needs this crap, as if ADD isn't bad enough!!!
