I gained 20 kg since starting lithium 3 years ago. I also take lamitrogine and Abilify. I hope to be able to go off my medicines in 6 months or so and wonder if my weight will fall off once I do.
Has anyone lost weight when they stopped lithium?

Yes, I lost about 60 lbs when I went off Lithium. and it came off pretty fast.

Hi, dag! Yes, it took a couple of months but I lost 35lbs after I had to stop taking my lithium. That was a good thing but, unfortunately, lithium has been the only medication that controlled my symptoms effectively.
