Does anyone take klonopin with zoloft for anxiety? Dr started me on half of lowest does of zoloft?

Yes i feel worse. Starting to feel panic again and the klonopin knocks me out. thought i was supposed to feel better how long will it take?when should i move up to next size dose

The Zoloft can cause heightened anxiety in the beginning, this generally subsides within the period you take to increase the Zoloft to therapeutic level. I'm not sure what your doctor has recommended as a starting dose and how quickly he/she will raise the dosage. Take the Klonopin as instructed and yes, it can make you sleepy, but will help with the transient anxiety until you have adjusted to the Zoloft. Ask your doctor if you can take half a dose of Klonopin and that may help with the sleeping.

Thanks so much the heightened anxiety scared me how long will this last? He atarted me out with 12.5

May last a couple of weeks and reoccur some each time the doctor ups the dosage. But it will level out and the Zoloft should help you with the anxiety and depression over time. When did your doctor recommend you increase the Zoloft to 25mgs?

He said after 3 or so days but i told him im so sensitive to meds so whenever im ready. Do u think i should up sooner than later

I would follow your doctor's lead and you know your body.

Dizziness and heightened anxiety in the beginning are common. This should subside in the first couple of weeks. Usually takes upwards of a month or so to really feel the effects of the medication. You are on a low dose so don't be surprised if the doctor has to adjust the dosage.

I really hope by now you've got your medications worked out. It took me a while. I started on 50mg Zoloft and 3, 1mg Klonopin. I'm now up to 150mg Zoloft and 2, 1mg Klonopin a day and it has helped tremendously. I've also been on these meds for the past seven years and it took a while to find the right combination. But once they do it does help a lot. Along with and therapist to talk to when needed.
