My boyfriend may start taking one of these meds and his insurance is Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Does anyone know if insurance covers Viagra, Levitro and Cialis?

We use Humana. I'm just started using Viagra 100mg. I'm 70. Cost for 6 pills was about $38.00.
My insurance has covered it with a $40 copay for 8. Next year it may not.
My insurance is blue cross/ blue shield.
Try Sildenafil instead of Viagra. My friend says that it gives him the same response and it costs $18 for ten times vs. $663 for 10 pills. I say 10 times because you need to take about 2 and a half pills of the Sildenafil per time.
I have railroad insurance through united. They cover a 90 day supply of 20mg, 36 pills for only $50. That's about $2300 retail.
You've got to be kidding me? You must be paying a fortune for your prescription benefit. I have Golden Rule. I've had it for about nine years. Regardless of the dosage, it pays for 6 Viagra or 10 Cialis tablets per month with a $50 copay, and you have to wait a full 30 days before you can refill it. 36 20mg Cialis tabs at $50 is just nuts. Cialis works well and has it's own pros, but nothing beats Viagra in terms of a "slam dunk" guarantee. If you can deal the mild headache and flushness which goes away in a 15 minutes, it's amazing how effective it is. I've tried others generics and they just can't match the Pfizer ones. I would hold on to that insurance if I were you.
Sorry, it's 12 tabs a month, so the 36 sounds right. Wow! That would last me forever.
That's United Healthcare? I had a group plan through my employer of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois and I received, I believe, my coverage was about the same. Copay was $75. Cialis is amazing!
Because I am type 2 diabetic in the Uk we can get 4 cialis tablets free a month and I must say they are affective .
The cialis tablet in my case is better taken some hours before intimacy but tends to last a few days
Wonderful how they work
Go to the Viagra website and get your prescription filled for HALF the price until the end of the year.
Try compound pharmacies they make certain generic at 1/4 the cost I used them for years, they all have strange names but it works like viagra
It depends on your insurance. Ask your insurance carrier. My insurance does pay for Cialis 5 mg tab daily. My cost is $1.07 per 5 mg tablet. My urologist prescribed Cialis for both ED and BPH. It replaced Proscar and Flomax. Since this question is almost two years old my reply is probably irrelevant. :-)
No it is not irrelevant. My doctor just prescribed 5mg Cialis, butr the Med i cal I am on wont cover it and the policy is all women's wants and needs are covered, but none of mens are. The lady fromn the ins company had smart alec comments to make also. I appreciate reading what you said.
So i have hop plus and another insurance. I have high blood pressure and i take flomax. I tried to get cialis but they said it wasn't covered. Could it be a mistake from the pharmacy putting it in incorrectly
Which insurance company do you have?
If your on Part D 99% of the time it will not be covered initially (meaning not on the formulary at all). In my experience, most Part D companies will approve it if you fill out ttheir Drug Tier Exception Form (or something to that effect, every company, per regulations, has to have something like it), as long as the Doctor is putting on the form that it is for your Prostate. I'd 60% of the time that alone is enough, but if you also note that you had been taking other medications that were covered, but those did not help, then your golden for an approval of some sorts. And if they're being a smart alec at the ins. company tell them to go screw and get a supervisor. I am sick and tired of half of my clients being to embarrassed to even tell me they are on Cialis due to some archaic social stigma, then I get to figure out the hard way when they get slapped with a $500 charge at Walgreens
I have Medco drug insurance and they cover Cialis for 5 tablets a month with a co-pay of about $8 each pill.
It obviously depends on your insurance. Mine covers Cialis 5mg daily. The fact that Cialis is
FDA approved as a treatment for both ED and BPH is a strong reason for insurance to approve it. Especially BPH since Flomax and Proscar are generally approved as they were by my company before my Urologist switched me to Cialis 5mg. The 20 mg vs 5 mg daily regimen could be involved in other company's decision.
I am a cancer survivor and have medicare... I currently take cialis 5mg daily as well and am paying a fortune!!! I am on disability and pay about $100/month for the medicare. any suggestions?
Which insurance company do you have?
Most won't cover at all but it never hurts to ask. I'm currently under Tricare Prime Remote and they cover the cost of 6 tablets (100mg) per month. If I want more I pay out of pocket.
How much do you pay for those six pills?
Tadalafil is the active ingredient in cialis... find out if you have a canadian pharmacy in your state (us)... big pharm is such a scam! Got 25 20mg pills for $95 and seem to work better! Cialis is a brand name that just uses fillers!
Can you advise which Canadian pharmacy you are using?
Only certain states allow this... fortunately my state (Florida) does.
I am with Aetna Medicare and IT DOES COVER IT. But they did not want to. My urologist pinch hit and convinced them other wise.
Very good point. Before any insurance provider will even consider it they need some medical background, history and documentation showing that it is a need for you, not a want.
So the insurance company doesn't want to take the doctor's word for it - that you need it?
I have Blue Shield 65 plus. Mr. Dr. prescribed Viagra and Staxyn as a back up. I can tell you that Blue Shield 65 plus doesn't cover any of them.
Hello missjb4. It varies from state to state in regards to coverage by Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Best of wishes to you, pledge
Most won't even cover some life-saving meds, let alone something like this.
actually since its something for men, I was really surprised they didn't cover it, lolol
tee hee
Right, because Prostate Cancer certainly isn't life threatening.
