Anyone take a Gabapentin & SSRI?

Hi, I'm on 600 mg of Gabapetin 3 times a day, took a while to get to that dosage, but it's working well. I also take 20mg of Paxil and Wellbutrin XL daily,

My anxiety and depression are finally under control. Keep us posted on how you're doing.

Pawsandpanicattacks; Yes Pepper has it covered very well, AT one time I was on 2700mg of Gabapentin and 20mg of Celexa and had no problems but when they added the Celexa they were able to lower the Gabapentin and the only problem was just starting the Celexia you have to know if you do get side effects they mostly go away in 5 to 10 days and you do start to feel better, but it takes it 4 weeks to reach the peak blood level and sounds like you are having problems with what you have been doing. Just remember the SSRI SIDE EFFECTS ARE different for everyone but once you find the one that works for you life does get much better and really side effect free now. You can do it. Best wishes

You didn't mention what dose you're on. The low dosages don't usually have any side effects. I think you'll do just fine on whatever your doctor thinks is best for you. Good luck. Pepper

I take 800 mg of gabapentin 3× a day along with 60 mg of cymbalta one a day. My anxiety seems to under control along with my depression. If your doctor thinks it's a good combination I wouldn't worry about it. Gabapentin and SSRIs are two totally different meds. The combination works very well. Pepper
