Anyone finding weight gain with low dose (10 mg) amitriptyline?

I used Endep 10mg nightly for a month and stopped due to putting on a kilogram every week. I now take half a tablet, it works a bit but not as well as the full 10mg.

I've only been on amitriptyline 4 months on 25mg Every night which it's working fab for ibs however I've gained nearly half a stone! I watch my weight and exercise and eat really well so it's very deflating I was wondering if it's q common side effects myself x

I have been on this dosage for almost 3 weeks and have gained 15 lbs. It works great for my headaches but I never have energy. I just want to sit on my couch and do nothing all day but sleep! I'm definitely going to see if my doctor can find me another route to take!

I am on 50mg for migraine prevention and haven't gained any weight but everyone is different.

I never took that small a dose. I have trouble with it, but I have had a lifelong weight problem anyway, and I am on 150mg. I'd try it and if you see any weight gain, go off of it.

Good morning. From my researching most people do have a weight gain. I have also seen Enbrel that is used to treat arthritis work for IBS. Just be a great advocate for yourself. No one knows you more then you. If you don't agree with your new dr try a second opinion. Good luck.
