I have benefited from pristiq. But noticed memory issues. Making too many mistakes at work. Anyone else gave this issue. Only on 25 mg.
Does anyone experience memory loss on Pristiq?

I had great benefits from Pristiq till I didn’t. Weaning off was tough. It took about 4 weeks to stop a 50mg dose that I was on for less than two months. Prior to that, I was on 25mg for about 6 months. While on it, I would have memory lapses but I could start to recall fairly shortly. Now, I lose a thought mid sentence. I can’t remember simple words mid sentence and rarely recall what I was going to say. To remember to do simple tasks out of a routine is impossible.
This is a side effect that must be reported to your DR. asap:
"low blood sodium - headache, confusion, problems with thinking or memory, weakness, feeling unsteady."
Sodium is an electrolyte, and it helps regulate the amount of water that's in and around your cells. In hyponatremia, one or more factors — ranging from an underlying medical condition to drinking too much water — cause the sodium in your body to become diluted.

Was on pristiq 25mg for 15 years. Definitely some slow brain function with it. Worked great but a nightmare to quit. You can't split it.
I’ve been on Pristiq as well as a few other related drugs. They all seem to give me a little brain fog and memory loss. I sometimes have a hard time thinking of the right word to use or remembering what I did last. Not sure if memory loss is an official side effect but it is definitely a side effect for me. Only way I’ve managed it is to keep myself more alert during the day - I drink strong coffee and take vitamins and B12 shots for energy. The higher energy tends to stave off the memory issues while I’m working.
