Hi, yes it is 'normal' to be feeling this way. It is common to feel worse before you feel better when starting any SSRI. There are several side effect symptoms that you could experience, but please try not to let this put you off continuing with the medication. After the induction period is over, about 4 weeks, give or take, you should be feeling so much better.
Thank you so much your comment helped me feel at ease. I just find it hard to leave my house rn because I'm afraid of having a panic attack and I just have been feeling unmotivated to do much. It's getting better now I just have to push myself to go out. I'm just concerned because I'm only 20 and I worry about how long I'll be on this medication.
Hi, i would try not to worry about how long you will need to take this medication. It isn't a bad thing to need help with depression/anxiety/panic attacks. I have taken antidepressants on & off since i was 13. I know that my quality of life is better for taking them
Absolutely. Give it 2-3 weeks. If you still feel sluggish like this then maybe it's not for you.
