Jindalla; Amitriptyline can be used for many things from Depression to pain and yes and just for what you were given it for. This is a very old medication that is still very effective for many people we are all different so you do have to give it some time. I do what to warn you the first couple of does can Be very Sedating and even go into the next day but it can also not bother you at all so just be aware of it. And the good thing is your doctor has given you the lower dose which is what you want and works up slowly as the doctor tells you to. But yes this is a good start for sure anxiety sleep and just so many good results. Just be aware if you are getting up in the morning at first sit for a minute and make sure you have no problems Anyway I do hope this is the one for you and you do have to take it at least 3 to 5 days for it to build up, And others feel some relief right away. I don't mean to be confusing you But it's just like we are all different and medications work differently on us also. Please try to be patient and take it about the same time each day. does help. have a great evening, And feel free to write back anytime if you can use some help.
JIN; Sorry I did not mean that this is a weak pill, 10mg really is strong and you may never have to increase it but it does come in many strengths for different things so always good to try this on a night that you don't have to work in the morning Wish you all the best.
