Hi, Cynlu!
There are many different options that you can discuss with her doctor. Speaking purely from my personal experience I'm now taking Vraylar which treats both schizophrenia and Bipolar disorders. I also take Wellbutrin to control the depressive episodes. This combination along with a mood stabilizer (lamotrigine) works very effectively for me.
Everyone responds differently to these medications so it may be a matter of trial and error until you find what works well for your daughter.
Best regards and good luck to both of you.
I am bipolar too, but do not have the problem your daughter has, and I am sorry to read so.
I take Seroquel (Quetiapine) and Zyprexa (Olanzapine) both belong to the drug class of atypical antipsychotics and for me they have worked pretty well, of course everyone reacts differently to medications.
I will provide you with a link with atypical antipsychotics with user reviews so you can discuss which one could suit your daughter best with her Dr.:

Risperidone is also in the same drug class of atypical antipsychotics.
