Alprazolam - Can changing manufacturers change the effectiveness of the drug?

I have been told by pharmacists (who should know) No, but I can tell a difference, they even order one from a certain manufacture for me, I have asked my internist if this is (my idea) or if it is possible the doctors response is I know you well enough until if you say you notice a difference various drug companies can use different fillers and it can make a difference, however they are all suppose to be made with FDA standards, but it evidentally is important because my doctor (because this brand is more expensive does discuss the issue with my Insurance and they do agree to pay for the more expensive brand. this is my experience and if you have issues with this it is my sincere hope that you are able to get your doctor or pharmacist to help you get what you need! my very best wishes to you

I talke alprazolam, & yes in my opinion it does make a difference of the manufacturer. I get generics because of our co-pay with insurance is cheaper. I have gotten a light blue round flat on that I didn't think worked at all. I take one made by purepac that is round & puffy looking. It is a 1mg. & is blue. It to me is the same as name brand. Just my thoughts...

u know ive heard people complain about the type of xaXNAX they might get.like walgreens gives the puffy round ones while wal-marts gives the round ones like ativans.then theres the original footballs that everyone seems to think r the best.ther r some folks that will not take anyones but the footballs.ive taken them all and i have found this:if the meds are fresh,they all work.ive had some footballs that just didnt seem to do that good @ that time.it depends on our system too.they also say that generics can work 15% over or under its quality..soooo to each its own i guess... lol have a good 1!
