I had my implant taken out in may and it took 8 weeks for my period to come back. The period was only two days and quite light. And I have not had another period my last period was 45 days ago. I did a pregnancy test a week after my period was due and it was negative. How long does it usually take to get your body back to normal? Should I see a doctor?

It can take months. Sometimes even years for some women. Everyone is different. Your body has to rid itself of the artificial hormone & re-balance its own natural hormones.
You can see a doctor if you want to hurry things along. Giving it more time would be better in my personal opinion, having been down that route.
They'll likely give you more artificial hormones to try to change your situation, rather than letting the body sort itself out. Sometimes artificial hormones get things regular again, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they make things worse, with irregular bleeding, & often with side effects. That's what happened to me. In the end I sorted things naturally with vitex. It supported my body to rebalance its hormones. I still use it now, as my body needs the extra support. Keeps my periods lighter (were heavy & constant) & regular.
I suggest reading up on it & the alternatives, to explore your options.
