Hi, i'm not sure about carbonated drinks, but you should avoid alcohol. Basically avoid anything that could exacerbate indigestion/heartburn. Take a look at this aftercare guide: https://www.drugs.com/cg/hiatal-hernia-aftercare-instructions.html
