I recently was in a minor car accident, my shoulder has been hurting for 22 days now. It often goes right below my shoulder towards my inner arm. Some days im in excruciating pain. It comes and goes, several times a day. Or stays for about an hour or two. I won't go more than 2-3 days without feeling some kind of pain. I see a chiropractor 3 times a week, and he will not prescribe any pain meds or for inflammation either. Some one mentioned to me that my pain may be caused because it could be inflamed, I am going to try it and see if it works. my question is how long and what dosage should I take ? And which one Advil or ibuprofen?. I heard that those two are for inflammation. I'm not asking dosage for pain, ONLY INFLAMMATION PURPOSE ONLY.
ex) 3× a day for 10 days.

I forgot to mention that my ibuprofen is prescribed because I only need to take one pill instead of taking four 200 milligrams
I have been using 800 milligrams of ibuprofen 3 times a day for inflammation I have lupus, fibromyalgia, and now I have osteoarthritis in my hips and then right back which I also have 3 discs that are pretty messed up I am do to have surgery on both hips going to have total hip replacement I have used plenty of anti inflammatory medicines but I have found that ibuprofen is the best compared to all the ones that were prescribed to me I hope this is of help to you if you have any more questions you're more than welcome to ask me anything thank you

Advil and ibuprofen are virtually the same product. Advil is the brand name, ibuprofen is the generic name. You can take either one. It's a great pain reliever. Normal starting dose for pain is on the bottle, two pills. This is a 200m dose, each pill being 100mg. Only take it when you need it. It can upset your stomach. Hope it works for you, have a good one.
I take 4 ibuprofen per day about 10/11 hrs apart and Pain RX supp in between... I would not be without DGL for stomach lining protection... take at least 3 daily... I deal with OA, Fibro and a hip replacement MESS.
Weevil is ibuprofen. I'd try one every 8 hrs to start.
