Advair Diskus - Can I use it only 1 time per day?

I used the Advair Diskus for a number of years and was directed to take one dose twice a day. Honestly, I skipped doses occasionally but found I was best controlled taking it as described and actually ended up changing to a different steroid inhaler that does control my breathing and wheezing much better. Unfortunately it is dosed at 2 puffs 2 times a day. I understand wanting to limit steroid exposure. I would talk to my asthma specialist and see if there is any documentation to support once daily dosing if you feel well controlled at that level.
