Because my insurance would not cover the cost of Auvelity, my doctor has given me separate prescriptions for Wellbutrin and dextromethorphan. Has anyone tried to take these medications separately, and if so, have they worked when taken this way?

I'm interested in this idea. I'll be watching for answers. From what my doctor says there is a patent issue that could prevent this from being an option.
I'm also interested in this idea for patients that are slow metabolizers and the once a day makes them too sleepy.
