Hey guys! I had sex on 27th of March without condoms and I don't take pills, so on 29th I took a Plan B and after three days (1st of April) i started bleeding. First it was brown discharge, then it turned into a normal heavy bleeding as my period and after this till today (14th of April) i'm still bleeding. It's not read and very liquid anymore. It's more brown/black and little bit "hard" . I mean i can't say it's normal liquid blood. What can it be? I'm "bleeding" for 14 days already.. I mean what worse can happen? I have an appointment to doctor on 27th but till then i'm freaking out so much, any answer would be helpful. Thank you!

I had an similar experience. I looked at this thread for help. I was pregnant. I had an ectopic pregnancy.
I took the pill an hour and half after intercourse. I wanted to come back to this tread to help anyone in the future.
Thank you for coming here & giving feedback on your experience. Voted up.
It would be really helpful if you could give your whole experience, in terms of at what point you used emergency contraception after sex, when you bled, what the blood was like, when you realised you were pregnant, what symptoms you had, etc. That's very useful info if you can recall.
Were you pregnant
Did the bleeding stop after 14 days?
You're most likely totally fine. I've taken Plan B before and it messed up my period. It started on the usual time but at first the discharge was dark brown-reddish and not very heavy at all. It stopped for a day and then it got heavy and back to regular period blood. If you saw RED BLOOD, just normal red period blood at all during this time, you're okay. You cannot be pregnant and discharge blood. Plan B can mess up your cycle big time.
Thanks for the answer, it really helped!
I disagree about the red blood comment. I have known people who have passed red blood & been pregnant. I had a friend who went full term despite still having periodic red blood. She didn't know she was pregnant for a few months because she thought it was just her period but lighter.
Red blood could be a sign of many things, so please do not assume that this is the case. Every woman is different.
I can proved links to evidence if you find it applies to you & want to know more.
I didn't mean this for every single case, but for my friends and I who have taken plan B, and research online shows that if you see red blood after taking plan b you're MOST LIKELY okay. I'm sure you are fine, though.
Could you tell me where the research is that you're looking at for this, please? If you can point me in the direction of where to find it, that'd be really helpful.
It's very important not to give information that could lead to someone assuming they are not pregnant, & then, for example, going on to take medications or alcohol etc. only to find out that they were pregnant all along. Perhaps not this OP, but other women reading this.
I'm certainly not aware of any research, so it would be helpful for anyone reading this who wants to check it, too, please.
We had a lady on here just a few months ago who thought she was in the clear as she'd had what she thought was a bleed of normal looking period blood, & she came back to say she was pregnant after all. It had just been the Plan B causing the bleeding after taking the drug.
On the other hand, many women get no bleeding after taking Plan B, but don't end up pregnant.
Varies depending on where you are in your cycle when you use the Drug.
Sorry, forget what I said I guess. Just trying to help

This is similar to me but I took the plan be and about 6 days later I started Bleeding and it’s heavy and really red. My lower stomach is sore when I press on it and my lower back is sore. It dosnt feel like period cramps.

It's very normal after using Plan B. It is likely to make your actual period late, too.
It's a huge dose of artificial hormone for your body to handle.
What do you mean by 'hard'?
Thank you for the answer. By "hard" i mean "not very liquid like normal blood"
Ah yes, I see what you meant.
Plan B can give you anything from pink/red/brown/brownish red/blackish spotting, through to heavy bleeding of the same colours. It's varied for me every time I've used it. Sometimes I've had no extra bleeding at all. The symptoms very much depend where you are in your cycle when you use it.
