For the vaccination of horses against Crotalus atrox toxin. This product was licensed prior to the requirement to establish a minimum age for use. This product license is conditional; efficacy and potency have not been fully demonstrated. For more information regarding safety data, see productdata.aphis.usda.gov.

Restricted to use by or under the direction of a veterinarian. For use in animals only. In case of human exposure, contact a physician. Do not mix with other products. Three doses are recommended, spaced one month apart. Historically, revaccination every 6 months has been recommended for this product. The need for this booster has not been established. Contact your veterinarian or manufacturer for more information on revaccination frequency. Each dose is 2 cc, given intramuscularly (pectoral). Do not vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter.

Occasionally, swelling may occur at the injection site. Such swellings typically resolve in a few days without intervention but may occasionally require empirical treatment depending upon the presentation. Rarely, anaphylactic or other adverse systemic reactions may occur. If adverse systemic reactions occur, appropriate therapy with epinephrine or other antianaphylactic drugs should be instituted immediately. Contains thimerosal as a preservative.
