Arabic Gum, Saccharomyces boulardii, Silicon Dioxide, Gelatin.

Directions For Use

Calves: 1 capsule orally per day for 2 consecutive days.

Cows: 4 capsules orally once per day for 2 consecutive days.

Capsule Administration: Carefully remove the capsule from the packaging. Administer to calves using a plastic capsule applicator for capsule size 12EL 15 mm diameter). Administer to cows using a metal capsule applicator for capsule size 12EL. Place the capsule in the applicator with the round side facing outside.

If right-handed, position yourself at the calf’s or cow’s right side. Gently hold the calf’s or cow’s upper jaw with your left hand. If left-handed, position yourself suitably. Keep the calf’s or cow’s head at a natural position and slightly towards yourself. Gently guide the loaded applicator into the calf’s or cow’s mouth. When you feel resistance, gently guide the applicator over the tongue. When the applicator is behind the tongue, squeeze the handle to release the capsule. Wait a moment for the calf or cow to swallow and then remove the applicator. To assist passage of the capsule down the esophagus and to stimulate a swallowing reflex, stroke the surface of the tongue or the outside of the throat. Ensure that the calf or cow has access to fresh water at all times.

A capsule may block the airway if not properly administered, or if not swallowed. Look for signs of breathing difficulty for 5 minutes after administering the capsule. The capsule applicator should be cleaned and dried after use.

This VHP may not be incorporated into a mixed feed.

Do not use broken or damaged capsules. Do not use excessive force when administering to the calf or cow. Calves and cows should be properly restrained for capsule administration. Do not administer to calves or cows lying down, or to calves or cows without a normal swallowing reflex.

Warnings

No withdrawal period is required when used according to the label.
