Attapulgite Pregnancy Warnings

Attapulgite has not been formally assigned to a pregnancy category by the FDA. Animal studies have not been reported. There are no controlled data on human pregnancy. Attapulgite is only recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk.

Attapulgite Breastfeeding Warnings

There are no data on the excretion of attapulgite into human milk. Attapulgite is not absorbed, therefore presence in breast milk is unlikely. Attapulgite use is generally accepted as safe during breast-feeding.
