It also relieves the swollen, red, itchy patches of skin caused by hives. Loratadine (loratidine) may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor. Loratadine (loratidine) is available as tablets, oral suspension and syrup, and also in combination with pseudoephedrine. Quick-dissolving tablets are also available.

The most common loratadine (loratidine) side-effects are drowsiness, headache, psychomotor impairment, urinary retention, dry mouth, blurred vision, and gastrointestinal disturbances.
