Usual Adult Dose for Diagnostic
0.1 mL intradermally, as superficially as possible, creating a distinct bleb approximately 5 mm in diameter
Comments:
- Examine test after 15 to 20 minutes and read as negative or positive.
- Test sites showing wheal and flare should be measured; report in mm of edema or score as 1+ to 4+ based on a mm reference scale.
- Induration can occur after 24 to 48 hours in some patients and should also be recorded in mm.
Use(s): For intradermal skin testing of persons suspected of having type I sensitivity (i.e. allergy) to Trichophyton fungus.

Precautions
US BOXED WARNING(S):
- This product is only intended for use by physicians experienced in administering allergenic extracts or for use under the guidance of an allergy specialist.
- Severe systemic reactions may occur, and may cause death in certain individuals.
- Skin tests should be performed after the patient's physical wellbeing and allergic history have been evaluated.
- Instruct patients to recognize adverse reaction symptoms and to contact the physician if symptoms occur.
- Emergency measures as well as personnel trained in their use should be immediately available in the event of a life-threatening reaction.
- Never inject this product intravenously.
